The Claims Edit System (CES
An on-line claims edit that checks the CPT and ICD codes within a claim and verifies that the coding is appropriate. The operator automatically receives notification of any claim issues.) is designed to assist in controlling costs by evaluating claims on-line for potential incorrect or inappropriate billing.
CES automatically evaluates claims and offers editing solutions. You can accept or reject the CES solutions by answering Y or N.
You can change the edit Action Code using the Action Code column list. To remove the Action Code for an individual edit, select the blank option from the list.
